It's been absolutely frigid here for the past week, and it looks like it's going down below zero again tonight. Our house is perched on top of a hill, so we are buffeted by winter winds all season long, and it's really been shaking the house today! But we've had some beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Yesterday morning's was so pretty, I just had to pull out my nature journal and try to capture it on paper.

Hope you're staying warm!
Very nice! Isn't it lovely to be warm inside on mornings like this? Glad your heating problem was short lived.
ReplyDeleteYes, I love being all snug and cozy inside on these cold winter days. I'm always so glad I work from home and can paint in the morning in my pajamas with a hot cup of coffee.
DeleteI was just enjoying the sunrise out my 2nd floor windows. LIke you, I'm blessed to have a view, mine looks over the bay & out to hills & island...Enjoy the warmth too, R.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing my view is lacking is water. :( Wish I had Penobscot Bay in my eastern view! I'll be there in June, though - can't wait! I'm bringing a group of sketchers to Owls Head.
DeleteIt has been mighty cold up here too. I wish I had your views so I could sit and not have to leave. lol Lovely journal page, Leslie. Stay warm!
