Hand-Lettered Quote #6 + Print Giveaway!

And finally….

8″ x 12″, drawn with Pitt Artist’s pens on Stillman and Birn Beta series paper

If you’re a dog lover, you understand. They enrich our lives like nothing else can. With their unwavering love, they show us what true devotion is.

Here’s our wonderful dog, Buckley. He brightens my days, makes me laugh, and comforts me when I need comforting.

He loves truck rides, tennis balls, walks, and treats. And people…anyone and everyone! Stuffed animals are his favorite toys, but he can destroy one in five minutes flat. Then he brings the tattered remains as an offering to anyone who walks through the door. He’s sweet, happy, lovable, and the most intuitive and empathetic dog we’ve ever had. I can’t even imagine the heartache I’ll feel when he’s no longer in our lives.

So I try to remind myself every day that our time with him is finite, and I need to love him the best I can while I have him right here beside me…waiting for a scratch behind the ears or a belly rub or just one more treat.

So, in honor of all the great dogs in our lives, here’s an extra quote to wrap up this series…

He is your friend, your partner,
your defender, your dog.
You are his life, his love,
his leader.
He will be yours,
faithful and true,
to the last beat of his heart.
You owe it to him
to be worthy of such devotion.

  • I want a dog in my life. Here's one I try to live by. "Today will never come again. Be a blessing. Be a friend. Encourage someone. Take time to care. Let your words heal, and not wound."

  • Leslie, I meant to comment yesterday on what a beautiful boy Buckley is. Who can ever look into a dog's eyes and fail to see a deep soul and all that is good in this world? I'm sure Buckley knows he is very well loved.
