Painting greens can be challenging, but help is on the way! In this FREE lesson I’ll show you quick and easy techniques for mixing the perfect color of green for any subject you’d like to paint.

Anyone who has sketched a pot of flowers or a garden or a summer landscape knows how hard it can be to mix greens that look natural and convey the beauty of the scene that inspired us. All too often, they end up looking too vibrant or too dull, with little value variation. They lack the subtlety of the real thing. And it’s frustrating when we can’t make our vision a reality through our painting.

That’s why I designed this lesson, to share the simple technique that I use to mix beautiful greens that range from the palest springtime yellow-green to the deep rich blue-green of evergreen trees. With just a little practice, you, too, can learn to customize your colors so your greens are an enhancement to your paintings rather than a distraction. Let me show you how easy it is!

Here’s what the lesson covers…

Bonus!

To show you how the lesson ideas look when put into practice, I’ve compiled a gallery of some of my own sketches and paintings in which greens feature prominently. You’ll see how I use the mixing techniques taught in the lesson to create an array of greens in landscapes, florals, travel sketches, and more.
