Winter Workshop Getaway

The 2018 workshop season is off to a great start! I just got home from Florida where I taught watercolor and sketchbook journaling classes in both Sarasota and Bradenton, plus had some downtime with my friend, Judy. I made a little video about the trip to show you…
The weather was beautiful, and I’ll have to admit that it was hard to make myself get on that plane to head back to the snow and ice in Pennsylvania. It felt like summer had been snatched away from me just as I was settling in and getting used to it.

I had some wonderful students. I think they surprised themselves with what they found out they can do. Everyone was so happy on the last day of class – proud of what they had learned and accomplished. I think you can see that in their beaming smiles on the video.
We all had a great time together and are looking forward to my return next year. New classes are in the works, so stay tuned!
Meanwhile, check out all the other workshops I have coming up this year in San Francisco, Maine, North Carolina, California, Italy, and right here at home in Prosperity, PA! Some of them have already filled up, and others have just a few spots left, so register soon if you’re interested in attending.
My next workshop will be a three-day Sketch Your Life! class here at Summerhill Studio, March 9-11. See the listing on the “US Workshops” tab above. I’d love to have you join us.

    • We did have a good time, and everyone seemed to learn a lot in the classes, too. Makes me feel good to know I could help someone along in their sketching/painting practice.

  • This is a beautiful piece of work. A wonderful transformation from a plain black notebook to something more bright!
