Summer Fun – Try Sketchbook Journaling!

Summer is a great time to indulge in doing something just for you, whether that means napping in a hammock in the backyard or spending an entire afternoon in a beach chair with your nose in a book.
Perhaps you have a yearning to explore, to try something new and different. Maybe reading this blog has made you wonder if it might be time to (re)discover your inner artist. Have you thought about picking up a sketchbook and trying your hand at watercolors, but aren’t really sure where or how to begin?
Well, if you’re ready to take that first step, come and join me for a 4-week, fun-filled, no-pressure introduction to expressing yourself creatively through sketchbook journaling. Lessons on drawing, painting, composition, and mixed media techniques will help you to develop your own style. No art experience is necessary – only an open mind, inquiring spirit, and willingness to learn. Before long, you’ll be seeing your world through new eyes, as you record the everyday things of life in your sketchbook.

  • okay, it's only 654 miles to your class (12 hours) – I can do that! ;0) Actually, I'm really jealous for the people who live near you. Have a great time!

  • How ironic that I just posted yesterday about how I want to start doing some art journaling but haven't drawn much in years so am finding it rather difficult to even get going at the moment. Too bad I'm way over here in Kuwait or I'd be there for your class! Best wishes for a great week. Tammy

  • Well, I certainly love the way you sketch and paint. Perhaps I will sign up when my life slows down a little. Love these beach scenes. I do keep sketching journals but I feel they always need improvement.
